Politicians shouldn't pick their voters. I'll push for an independent commission to draw our district lines, kept as far from party politics as possible, so communities like League City stay whole. No more gerrymandering. No more loopholes.
Let's just let the kids learn. Tie student funding to inflation so our schools aren't stuck on 2019 budgets. Pay teachers like professionals. And a hard "no" on vouchers.
If it happens in your private life, it's not the state's business. Your doctor's office, your library, your church and your family are yours. Austin needs to stay out.
I didn't take a straight path here. I started working minimum wage jobs at 15 and joined the National Guard at 17. Later I went back to college as an adult and built a career in cybersecurity. These days I protect NASA data and help major tech platforms stay compliant. My job is finding what's broken and fixing it. That's what I want to do in Austin.
My wife, Anna, and I are raising our kids right here in League City. You'll usually find me in the stands at my oldest son's football games or running into neighbors at HEB. Our youngest is on the autism spectrum, so I know firsthand that "pro-family" has to mean more than a slogan. It means schools that work for every kid, groceries families can actually afford, and a government that stays out of your business.
I decided to run when I saw the new district lines. The courts might call it legal, but we all know what it is: gerrymandering. Voters are supposed to choose their leaders, not the other way around. I'm not running to play that game better than the other guys. I'm running to change the rules so nobody gets to play it.
